Located in Sydney's inner west, this new home was designed by BMA and approved for construction by a Private Certifier under NSW complying development legislation. This approval path is one BMA regularly promotes to our clients with an appropriate site, and we have delivered a number of successful residential projects in this way. The benefits of CDC approval include:
- No assessment or approval of the design by the local Council under the traditional DA process, or the opportunity for pre-approval review and objection by neighbours.
- Provision of certainty to our clients regarding the approval potential, because very clear numeric controls are set under the legislation. If the controls are met, the building is approved.
- Savings of significant time and expense during the design and documentation stages of the project.
- Design freedom and certainty. CDC numeric controls have not proven to limit our architectural expression, or the amenity of our designs.
We are looking forward to construction of the house starting soon. Please contact us if you would like more information on the CDC approval process, or think it may be a good fit for your residential project.
